3-Ingredient Chuck Roast in Foil
This recipe for a chuck roast in foil only needs three ingredients and always makes tender, flavorful beef. The dry onion soup mix and beef broth give the meat a savory flavor as it cooks slowly in the oven until it's done. It's an easy dish that's great for busy weeknights or get-togethers on the weekends.
Ingredients:
- 1 chuck roast about 2-3 pounds
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions:
Start by heating the oven up to 300F 150C
Put the chuck roast in the middle of a big sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil
The dry onion soup mix should be put on top of the chuck roast
Cover the chuck roast with the beef broth
To make a sealed packet, wrap the foil tightly around the chuck roast
Put the foil packet in a baking dish and put it in an oven that is already hot
The chuck roast should be soft enough to shred with a fork after 3 hours in the oven
Open the foil package slowly, being careful of the steam, and move the chuck roast to a serving platter
Put some of the juices on top of the hot meat when you serve it
